Holy Spirit Invitation

This Psalm 91 devotional begins with an invitation to the  Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit we welcome You, we quiet our hearts before You, and we yield this time fully to Your leading, in the word we recite, the declarations we speak, and whatever other affirmations and prayers you bring forth, in tongues or in our own tongue, as you give utterance. Have your way in us now. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Affirmations & Declarations

God, You are my hiding place. I live close to You, safe in Your shadow, Almighty God.

Lord, You are my safety and my protection, my God, and I trust You completely.

You rescue me from every trap the enemy sets, and from sickness that tries to come near me.

You cover me and keep me close; under Your care I find rest. Your truth protects me on every side.

Because You are with me, I won’t be afraid of danger at night, trouble that comes during the day, sickness that spreads in the dark, or disaster that strikes at noon.

Even if trouble surrounds me on every side, it won’t reach me or my family, because You are my safe place.

You’ve put Your angels in charge of watching over me, keeping me safe wherever I go. I’m guided and protected in every step I take.

Through You, I have power over every attack the enemy sends, in Jesus’ name.

Because I love You and I know who You are, You rescue me and lift me up.

When I call out to You, You answer me. You’re with me when things get hard; You rescue me and You honor me.

You bless me with a long, full life and let me see Your salvation, today and every day.
